Every online registered walker has an auto-created standard personal page with basic information you provided such as when and where you'll walk and your fundraising goal.
You can leave this page as it is or you can personalize it further. Here's how.
Click "Edit Page," which is the middle tab on the second bar at the top of your personal page. You can customize your page by editing any items in pink. Click any of the following topics for directions:
Remember: THE CHANGES WON'T BE MADE UNTIL YOU CLICK THE "SAVE MY CHANGES" BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
Every time you save, your browser will be directed to your new personal page reflecting the changes you made. If you want to continue to edit your personal page, click the "Edit Page" tab again.
1. Notice that the contribution goal you previously provided is pre-filled in the box with the number in pink.
2. To change your goal, simply delete and type in your new goal amount.
3. You can also choose to have your fundraising progress bar displayed or not displayed on your personal page. The default is "on." If you wish to hide your progress bar from your sponsors/donors, click "off."
4. Remember to click "Save My Changes" at the bottom of the page.
1. Your plans have changed -- you've joined a team, decided to walk as an individual. Whatever your new status is, you can update by clicking "Change" under your name.
2. The place and time of the walksite you've chosen is also in this section. Click "Change Walksite" to choose a new walksite.
3. Remember to click "Save My Changes" at the bottom of the page.
1. Click the "Browse" button in the photo box and browse your drives for your personal photo. You must have already loaded your photo into your computer hard drive or saved on a floppy or CD in order to upload to your personal page.
2. The system will accept .JPEG and .GIF file formats.
3. It will not accept a photo 250k or larger.
4. Don't worry about sizing your photo, the system will automatically size and insert your photo.
5. Feel free to add a caption to the photo.
6. Remember to click "Save My Changes" at the bottom of the page.
7. Don't like the photo? Click "Edit Page," scroll down to picture box and click box to remove existing photo. Click "Save My Changes."
Choose Your Sponsorship Levels:
1. $100, $75, $50, $25 are the default sponsorship levels (the circle is clicked in the box), but you can choose any of the other ranges of donation or create your own range by filling in the four boxes with dollar numbers of your choosing. Note: the dollar amount cannot be less than $5.
2. Remember to click "Save My Changes" at the bottom of the page.
3. Want to make another change? Click "Edit Page," click another range or create your own. Click "Save My Changes."
Create Your Own Fundraising Message:
1. There is general default message created for your personal page, but you can create your own. Simply highlight and delete the pink text in the message box and start composing. Your fellow walkers have used this space to tell a personal story or make a more direct appeal to their sponsors to give.
2. Your personal message can be changed as often as you like. Just remember to click "Save My Changes" at the bottom of the page.
1. When your sponsors donate through your personal page, they are encouraged to send you a message. You can decide whether you want these messages displayed on your personal page or not. Keep in mind that if you choose yes, those messages are there for all visitors to your personal page to read.
2. Remember to click "Save My Changes" at the bottom of the page.
3. Click here to edit your sponsor messages.
4. Note that online donors can leave a personal message only once they have completed a successful transaction.
